Stella Anning will light up the El Horses stage with the highly anticipated launch of her new album ‘Yellow Brick Veneer’. This evening promises a rich blend of musical vulnerability, soulful improvisation, and spontaneous artistry.Composer, guitarist, and performer, Stella Anning is marking her full emergence as a singer/songwriter with her upcoming body of work Yellow Brick Veneer, out Wednesday 3 September, exploring themes of motherhood, mental health, identity, and the complexities of personal and familial relationships. Her background in jazz and composition continues to shape her sound – expressive, searching and rooted in improvisation.
Known for her guitar trio; STAT (Stella Anning Trio), Stella has long explored the sonic possibilities of the guitar trio format, moving between blues, roots, jazz and soul. This new project builds on that foundation while opening into a more lyrical and personal terrain.
