CCU's Department of Music presentsSTEINWAY PIANO SERIES
COASTAL CHAMBER COLLECTIVE
The Coastal Chamber Players performs Dvořák’s Trio in F minor, Op. 90 (the “Dumky” trio) and Shostakovich’s Trio in E minor, Op. 67. The ensemble features CCU Department of Music faculty Abigail Martinez, teaching associate, on violin; Chad Hammer, teaching associate, on cello; and Philip Powell, professor, on piano. These two pieces, while years apart and stylistically diverse, both present folk elements that reflect the time and place of their respective composers.
