The Nashua Historical Society invites the community to step back in time for a charming afternoon tea, Steeped in ’76 Tea Party: With a Splash of Red, White, and Blue, on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Inspired by the upcoming 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, this festive gathering will blend history, creativity, and celebration in a uniquely memorable way.
Guests will enjoy an elegant tea service featuring fragrant teas, scones, petite sandwiches, and sweet treats, all served amid patriotic red, white, and blue décor. Designed for ages 6 and up, the afternoon offers engaging activities for history lovers of all generations, including:
• A special presentation by textile expert Penny LaCroix, Dyeing Colonial-Style Cloth
• A hands-on colonial-inspired craft
• A special raffle and other surprises
In the spirit of the celebration, attendees are encouraged to bring a friend or family member and dress in red, white, and/or blue. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., with tea service beginning promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased at the Nashua Historical Society (Tuesday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.) or online at https://www.nashuahistoricalsociety.org/event-list. Please note that online and credit card purchases include a $2 convenience fee.

The event will be held in the fully accessible Florence H. Speare Memorial Museum Library, located at 5 Abbott Street, Nashua, NH. A ramp and elevator are available. Free parking is offered in the Crescent Street parking lot, with additional street parking on Abbott Street.
