Steel Country is just what the name suggests, a hard driving country band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1992 by five U.S. Marines. After their honorable discharges from active duty, the band members went their separate ways to pursue life in different directions. However, the lead singer & original founding member, David Bijarro reformed Steel Country with musicians from the area; this is, until hurricane Katrina devoured everything he owned. David moved his family to Texas where he met Jeff Rainer where they again resurrected the group with yet another roster of local players.
David & his new band of brothers include Marshall Black, Jeff Rainer, Max Jones, Bubba Scherer & Steve Bundrick.
