The event ticket does not include General Admission to the Museum during normal business hours. USS Lexington Museum hours on June 15th are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., for General Admission guests.
In historic naval tradition, sailors aboard aircraft carriers, battleships, and submarines would occasionally suspend regular operations and throw steel beach picnics on flight decks, main decks, and surfaced backs to give overworked crews a day to unwind, enjoy some sunshine and entertainment, and remember that life exists outside of their posts and duty stations. We pay tribute to those who served aboard USS Lexington as we continue this grand tradition and welcome visitors to celebrate a summer evening aboard with their families.
