Join us for a day of discovery and learning in our three listed buildings and see the four Victorian beam engines, one of which has been fully restored by volunteers and will be steaming throughout the day.You can explore the history of this iconic location, learning more about the crucial role it played in London's 'ground-breaking' sewerage system which continues to serve the capital today, and visit the "The Great Stink Exhibition" which shows why this feat of Victorian civil and mechanical engineering was so badly needed.
Children can join the Learning Team for a free Make and Take craft activity and can explore the Crossness site with our children’s Activity Trail.
We will be running a free shuttle bus from Abbey Wood Station to our gates and a narrow gauge railways will take you from the gate to the main site.
There is an admission charge for this event - plus Eventbrite booking fees:
Aged 16 and over - £18.00, Age 5-15 - £4.00, Under 5 free.
Tickets: we have two time slots: from 10.00 to 12.15 or 12.30 to 14.00 and you can can arrive any time within your chosen time slot. Last entry is at 14.00.
Ticket includes the vintage Shuttle Bus between Abbey Wood station and the entrance and a ride on the the RANG railway to the Pumping Station.
Light refreshments are available from our Coffee Shop and be sure to visit the shop where you'll find a great selection of gifts and souvenirs - some made by volunteers at Crossness.
