About this Event
Join us on February 22nd for an insightful lecture by Dr. Roxana Chicas, as she shares the findings of the Girasoles research project. Discover the hidden realities of the agricultural industry and learn how to take action to protect farmworkers. This presentation will offer a look at the true cost of getting food from the fields to our tables, shedding light on the risks farmworkers face, including life-threatening working conditions and health issues. This presentation will also explore the policies—or lack thereof—that allow these injustices to persist. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, engage, and take meaningful action.
Roxana Chicas, PhD, RN, FAAN, is a Latina nurse, climate scientist, and advocate for workers’ rights.
