Families are invited to join us every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month for a free, fun hands-on project. These mind-expanding projects help children discover creative play through science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics. Our next workshop will be: DIY PAPER!
Learn how to use recycled materials to make your very own paper!
This is a drop-in program for the whole family; participants can join anytime from 10am-1pm, but we recommend allocating a minimum of 30-45 minutes for each activity. Parents/guardians are expected to stay with their children at all times and actively participate in the workshop.
This workshop is recommended for families with children ages 3+, but all ages are welcome. This workshop does require use of a handmade mould and deckle. Participants are going to need to be able to use their hands to open, fill, and close the tool.
Parents/guardians are asked to use their discretion when deciding whether a specific activity is the right choice for their kids, keeping in mind that advanced activities may take longer and require more fine motor skills to complete.
This workshop is co-hosted by special guest and TVCOG Resident Maya Lewis!
This project is FREE, but donations are welcome. Brought to you through the support of the T Backer Memorial Foundation, SRC Inc and the Technology Management Institute.
