Reading of Not A Box by Antoinette Portis, followed by a STEAM planning and building activity.
Practice of skills: attention, problem-solving, persistence, concepts of dimensions and sizes, fine motor, art/sculpture.
A Variety of boxes and basic art materials (tape, construction paper, glue, crayons) will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, especially paper towel and toilet paper tubes or small blank boxes! The idea will be to re-use boxes of all kinds to create art.
