Explore the journey of coal from seam to steam. Design and create a system that successfully moves coal from the coal face to the factory.
Sunday 20 October: Earthworm Survey
Join us as we complete the citizen science survey Earthworm Watch in association with the Earthworm Society of Britain. It’s well known that earthworms increase soil fertility and carbon storage by mixing in dead plant material. Yet, data about earthworms is severely lacking.
Sunday 17 November: Circuits and Communication
Discover how miners communicated underground before the use of telephones. Design and build creative electric circuits using conductive and insulating dough.
