Saturday 20th July 2024Join Steam Incorporated on this exclusive "Steam & Cuisine" experience, with our friends at The Duke of Wellington! We have two exciting options, for both lunch & dinner, departing on our heritage train from Paekakariki!
Sit back and relax onboard our beautifully restored heritage train as we head toward Wellington with our heritage steam locomotive Ja 1271 and Da class diesel electrics!

Light Lunch in the City | Departing Paekakariki at 11:25am, returning at 3:50pm
Jump onboard our train, and nestle down into your seats for a relaxing journey down the coast! After arriving at Wellington, you'll take a short 100m walk across to The Duke of Wellington, where we settle in just in time for lunch!
Immerse yourself in a well-crafted meal, a choice of one of the following:
- 250g Sirloin Steak served medium w pumpkin puree, smoked potato croquettes, market greens & nduja butter
- Pan-seared Chicken Breast black rice, market greens & creole sauce (GF)
- Potato gnocchi w pecorino sauce (V)
After this, we head back over the road to the railway station to board our steam-hauled train journey back toward Paekakariki.

The Full Dinner Experience - All Inclusive | Departing Paekakariki at 4:50pm, returning at 9:50pm
Sit down at your seats as we depart the coast, indulging in some light refreshments en route to the Capital. After arriving at Wellington, you'll take a short 100m walk across to The Duke of Wellington, where we settle in for a nice main course.
Immerse yourself in a well-crafted meal, a choice of one of the following:
