Saint James and our Messy Church invite your family to retell the story of Jesus' last day with us at our Family-Friendly Stations of the Cross. We will start right at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 7. We will *move together* from one storytelling area to another in the church, as leaders guide us through the stations and a short activity at each area. (This is not a free flowing event like our normal Messy Church craft hour -- we will be moving through stations together in a specific order.) This will be a child-friendly event, where we remember Jesus' final hours through brief stories, age-appropriate activities, and prayers. A simple snack will be available. We will not serve dinner like we do at a regular Messy Church event. We anticipate that it will take us 45 minutes to move through the Stations of the Cross together. RSVPs are not required, but please send us a message if you'd like us to make a snack bag for your kids. We'll make a few extra, but it would be helpful to know how many we will need. Thanks!
Please note: Saint James will *also* have a traditional 7:00 PM Good Friday Tenebrae Service.
Where to Park:
Please park behind the church's office building at 29 Pearl Street, Kingston, NY.
Which Door to Use:
When coming to Saint James for a Messy Church event, please enter the building at the new "elevator door" -- you'll see it from our parking lot at 29 Pearl Street. This is our accessible entrance and it leads most easily to the area where we hold events like Messy Church and the Stations of the Cross.
