"I first saw the Allman Brothers Band in 1970, when I was a 19-year-old kid with a pocket full of goodies, a camera, and a dream. 55 years later, that band and their music made my dream come true. I ended up traveling the world with the ABB, herding the band from gig to gig, and capturing their inner workings through my lens. During that journey, I went to countless cities, encountered lots of fans, and saw too many cover bands. Then I heard Statesboro, and those guys reminded me of what I loved about the original Allman Brothers line-up. They play to honor the music, and to always serve the song. Take it from the Tour Mystic, boys and girls: Statesboro can truly hit the note." - Kirk West, AABB Road Manager and Photographer, Founder of the Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big HouseRe-live the heady days of the Fillmore East 1971 with the painstaking dedication and respect to the sound of the six founding band member’s original, passionate vision.
This isn’t just a tribute band; Statesboro plays with an improvised passion that would make Duane, Gregg, Dickey, Berry, Jaimoe and Butch proud!
