About this Event
PWdWA has been asked to make people with disability aware of the State Government's disability strategy 2020 -2030. This information session will bring the important aspects of this strategy to you in an easy managed form.
The key messages we will be discussing are:
• People with disability, and those who share their lives, are engaged and feel empowered to live as they choose in a community where everyone belongs.
• All of us have a role to play in creating an inclusive community. All actions, big or small, have the power to change lives.
• Small changes to the way we consider, include and value people with disability add up to make a big difference.
• All Western Australians have a responsibility in creating the type of community we all want to be part of and proud of.
• Accessibility isn’t just about accommodating the needs of people with disability; it’s about making sure all people can participate, use and understand things
Members from our Board will also be there to give an overview of PWdWA's new strategic plan.
