Startup Weekend is a 54-hour whirlwind event where you get to be part of building a business in a weekend, Silicon Valley-style. It's about pitching, business model creation, prototyping, designing and market validation all in a friendly and supportive team environment.All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model:
- Anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and teams organically form around the top ideas.
- All ideas are welcome – remember that the sky is the limit!
So, how does it work?
We come together on Friday night, and any attendee is welcome to pitch their idea to the crowd. Everyone votes on the top ideas, and teams organically form. Then you've got the rest of the weekend to grow your idea into a business, Silicon-Valley style. With a heap of caffeine and free food, on the Sunday night, we see what new ideas have come out the other end!
It is a fast-paced and highly creative event that challenges everyone who attends to make innovative new projects in 54 hours.
Who can attend?
Anyone. Whether you're 18 or 88, a painter, actor, software engineer, writer, graphic designer, geek, entrepreneur, photographer, musician, programmer, museum curator, or startup specialist. Whether you have an idea, or have no idea. Everyone is welcome.
What will I get out of it?
The professional and personal challenges, the high and lows, the failures and the success.

Your ticket includes an awesome weekend with great mentors and facilitation, Friday night dinner and network, all your meals and snacks on Saturday and Sunday - and a pitch event on Sunday evening with drinks and network - all included!
