About this Event

Do you get a bit nervous when networking?

Do you want to have relaxed conversations with other women who understand the difficulties of starting a business?

Are you looking for a community to support your startup or freelancing journey?

The Lark Network is just what you’re looking for!

The Lark Network is a group of women and non-binary folx who meet monthly for informal networking over tea and coffee.

Monthly topic of conversation: Journaling to Support Mental Health and Creativity with Rev. Sass Adams

Each month, we pick a new topic to help focus our conversations and help you get the most out of the event.

In April, along with our usual cuppa and chat, we'll be joined by Sass Adams, who will take us through how we can use journalling as part of our wellbeing and business practises. Sass will take us on an engaging, hands-on journey with two distinct exercises designed to unlock your potential for self-expression and healing. The first explores 'mark making', no art skills required, and the second is 'wild writing', using a prompt to unlock the written word. We will also explore other journaling techniques, such as daily prompts and 'The Artist's Way'.

This event is part of our mental health and wellbeing for entrepreneurship series that we are running through Spring 2024.

About Our Guest Speaker, Rev. Sass Adams

Sass runs two successful businesses, Sass Adams Socials and Spiritunity, and is a co-director of OneSpirit Ministers in Connection (OSMIC). With over 30 years of personal and professional experience in journaling, Rev Adams has navigated through life's most challenging moments— from deep depression and suicidality to complex PTSD—using the power of both written words and art.

⏰ We don't do "late"! Drop in any time between 11:30am and 1:30pm - we understand life gets busy so don't stress if you're not there for the 'start'!

We do things a bit differently at Lark.

You won’t be asked to do your elevator pitch (although if you want help perfecting it, we’ll be more than happy to help!). We’re not about pushy sales.

We believe in giving you the time and space to build genuine connections with other women, allowing you to create a real support network.

We're a supportive community where you can ask for help.

We don’t feel you should have to choose between your business and your babies, so children are welcome to attend.

Our networking is completely free to access. However, you can help keep our services low or no cost for the women who need them by making a donation to The Lark Network. Simply buy a donation ticket when you register.
