Welcome to Startup Refugees DEI & Glögi Evening on 4.12.2024 at 15:30 in Kulttuuritalo—a chance for new and longtime network members to share ideas for a more diverse working life over great food, drinks, and good company!
The program will be opened by the former Captain of Susijengi, public speaker, and a city council member, Shawn Huff. Startup Refugees Salla will interview our partner Vaisala's Talent Acquisition Manager, Joel Kinnunen, and a Ukrainian professional Mark Ilchenko was employed at Vaisala in a Calibration Coordinator role on how diverse teams are built and how to cultivate a sense of belonging. We will also hear a story of international talents who have succeeded in Finland through creativity and entrepreneurship.
You'll have the chance to buy Christmas gifts from newcomer entrepreneurs, for example Ukrainian mesmerizing ginger breads, enjoy Fat Lizard beverages and hear musical performance by our very own Yelizaveta Babina. There will also be relaxed networking and, of course, delicious food and glögi!
