José López, acclaimed for captivating performances across the United States, Italy, and Central and South America, has appeared at prestigious venues such as the Music Festival of the Hamptons and the Killington Music Festival. In South Florida, he is a prominent figure at events including the Florida International University’s Music Festival and Coral Gables’ Mainly Mozart Series.
As Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Keyboard Studies Program at Florida International University in Miami, López brings extensive experience. He serves as President of the South Florida Chapter of the American Liszt Society and Honorary Secretary of the United Kingdom’s Alkan Society.
López has performed with orchestras, in solo recitals, and with chamber groups, showcasing his versatility and musical depth. He is also the founder and co-director of the Deering Estate at Cutler’s Chamber Music Series, highlighting his commitment to promoting classical music within the community.
López's expertise promises an evening of exceptional musical artistry, bringing to life timeless masterpieces by Jewish composers of the Romantic period in Europe.
