Join us at Dulles Airport on Saturday April 20th to greet approximately 150 WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War Veterans who will be arriving on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight from Milwaukee, Honor Flights recognize the bravery, determination and patriotism of our nation’s senior war veterans with a one-of-a-kind journey to Washington, D.C. The trip is only one day, but the experience is life-changing. It's also, as we've found out, also pretty fulfilling for us greeters.The two flights are scheduled to arrive at 0900 and 1015. Join MCL Detachment 1205 as we welcome these veterans as they arrive. We will plan to meet at the USO near baggage claim 12 (West end of the terminal) and then proceed upstairs for the Welcoming event.
If you would like to take advantage of free parking you must ALSO register separately at www.heroeswelcomeiad.com. Look for the April 20th flight registration. You will be redirected to a google doc to register your name. A few days prior to the flight you will be sent a map for parking along with a placard for your vehicle.
