We'll start with an introductory lesson on Nightclub 2-Step by Antoinette Santoro. Nightclub 2-Step (NC2S), designed for slow music in 4/4 time, is not to be confused with the Country 2-Step, designed for much faster music in 2/4 time. The NC2S was invented in the 60's as a social dance for the many slow pop songs that were so popular. But, at the time, there was no slow dance that everyone agreed on so everyone improvised, which made partner dancing a challenge.Nightclub 2-Step is a wonderful fit for slow music and, since the 60s, it's grown to become the most popular social slow dance. It allows DJs to play some of the most engaging music ever written and know that dancers can enjoy this music at all kinds of events. If you're at all interested in knowing how to dance to beautiful slow ballads, join us on September 13th to take advantage of the wonderful teaching of Antoinette Santoro.
And then stay for more than 2 hours of general dancing with songs for all the ballroom dances and most social dances. During the general dancing we'll play some extra Nightclub 2-Step songs so you can practice what Antoinette teaches in the lesson.
You get all of this for just $15/person. To learn more about Antoinette Santoro, our dances and our club, check out our website at: www.trianglestardusters.org .
