May the Fourth be with you!Ride bikes around NE Portland with Kidical Mass PDX! Bring your lightsaber, Jedi cloak or Mandolorian helmet to celebrate Star Wars Day with a family-friendly bike ride. Meet at 1pm, ride at 1:15pm sharp.
We’ll ride from Wilshire Park playground on neighborhood greenways and quiet streets, while listening to Star Wars music. Costumes are optional but encouraged.
This is a kid-led ride, with our new ride leader Isaac setting the pace, with help from his parent and other adults!
The ride is a loop, suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike. We ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line without training wheels, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Corker are welcome to be a traffic safety jedi.
We’ll ride together as a group, rain or shine, because kids are traffic too!
