Star Crossed is a two-player game about really, really wanting to, when you really, really can’t. It's about the excitement, tension, and heartbreak of romance!
In Star Crossed, you’ll craft characters who are powerfully attracted to each other, but have a compelling reason not to act on their feelings. Using a tumbling block tower, you'll tell the story of their attraction growing as they spend time together. Will your love be doomed, triumphant, or something in-between? Find out in STAR CROSSED!
Space Station Fobolex is the multiplayer setup for Star Crossed. You will be paired up with another player, and you'll each choose a character such as WEALTHY SPACE TOURIST, or SCRUFFY ASTEROID MINER, or STOIC CHIEF OF STATION SECURITY. You will play out the story of your two characters' budding romance, but with a twist: occasionally, an element of someone else's story will show up in yours!
Star Crossed: Space Station Fobolex is a tabletop roleplaying game about the tensions of an impossible love. No prior experience or preparation is required. You'll play with the person you come with (and interact a little bit with one of our facilitators).
The event will begin at 7 pm with an initial orientation and character building, with help from the facilitators. You and your partner will also determine the tone of your personal game before beginning, determining where on the scale it will fall between light-hearted comedy and dramatic tragedy.
We welcome you to arrive at 6:30 to settle in and order food and drink before the orientation begins (though our kitchen and bar will also be open throughout the evening).
This game is played exclusively in pairs! If you're coming as an existing pair, please buy two tickets (one each). We guarantee you'll be able to play together. Single players or odd-numbered groups are welcome, as well: we'll find you a match/split up larger groups into pairs.
