Heather Butler, assistant professor of biology and program head of science at Virginia Western Community College, will discuss Xerces Society study findings on the presence of pesticides on store-bought pollinator plants.
She also will share strategies for:
· Identifying nurseries that practice pollinator-safe management.
· Having conversations with other nurseries about steps they can take to reduce the use of pesticides.
CVC is located in Heights Community Church. The event will be in the Welcome Center. Enter on the Roanoke Co+op side of the church.
