Share your voice at this open mic poetry slam inspired by Crafting Sanctuaries: Black Spaces of the Great Depression South. Poems exploring themes of home, sacred space, history, race, resilience, and photography are encouraged—though all poems are welcome. This event is hosted by Glenn North, Museum of Kansas City Poet-in-Residence and The Moth StorySLAM KC host. Door prizes included. Seating is first come, first served.
