The weekend workshop is a practical introduction to the core tenets of Stanislavski’s System - the actor’s work on the body, on character, on text and on stage. Actors will explore the principles of naivety, concentration, relaxation, communion as well as learning to identify the given circumstances, objectives, method of physical actions, and events of a text to inform the playing of a scene and building a character.A range of selected contemporary and classical scenes will be provided to give actors a practical experience of the system. This is a practical class and some experience is necessary - be that enthusiastic amateurs or professional actors.
