Would you like to deepen your relationship with your persecuted family and be strengthened in your faith? We’d love for you to join us as we gather from across the East Midlands to meet our persecuted family and celebrate what God is doing in some of the most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian.
This year, our East Midlands Standing Strong will be held at Alive Lincoln.
Doors open at 9.30am, with the event kicking off at 10am and finishing at 3-3.30pm.
We will be joined by Manga, who will be sharing some of his story.
Manga survived being knifed when Boko Haram militants attacked his family home in 2012, but his father was tragically killed. “At first, we were shy of these scars,” says Manga, whose brother was also wounded. “But later we came to realise it is a testimony. It is evidence of the existence of God.”
This is a precious and unique opportunity to meet your persecuted family and hear their stories, ask them questions and pray for them. There will be space for worship and you’ll also get to sample what life is like for millions of believers worldwide. It’s an experience not to miss!
“I particularly enjoyed the speaker who brought to life what persecution is really like – the pain, the danger, the fact that his life might be taken from him at any time, the lost contact with his family. It was so moving, and it’s such a pleasure to know that we can pray and give into this wonderful work.”
