The Cathedral Arts Project presents "Standing Bear Cantata."
This is a one-act opera for baritone and strings written by Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate, a Chickasaw classical composer and pianist.
Standing Bear is a tableau of imagery and thoughts the
great Native American chief has while journeying back to his native homeland to bury his son. It is an intimate reflection on the nature of relationships and their connections to homeland.
5 p.m. in St. Cecilia Cathedral. This is a FREE event for the community!
This is a program offered as a part of the Castle & Cathedral Creative District, a program supported by the Nebraska Arts Council.
