Our stand up paddle boarding experience on the River Ure at Boroughbridge is tailored for diverse individuals:
• Complete Beginners: Ideal for those who have never tried paddle boarding and are looking for a ‘have a go experience.’
• Recreation Seekers: Perfect for individuals seeking a fun few hours with like-minded people, exploring something a little different.
• Families: A great option for families in search of a fun and exciting day, creating memorable experiences together.
At our Boroughbridge office which is positioned on the River Ure’s edge; we have facilities which include ample parking, toilets, showers, and a secure space to store your valuables while you embark on the stand up paddle boarding experience.
Once fully equipped and prepared for kayaking, our friendly staff members will outline the session’s rough itinerary and provide an overview of what to expect. Before hitting the water, they’ll offer land-based instruction, covering the basics to ensure you feel confident and ready.
Throughout the session, we’ll guide you on a journey up and down the river, allowing ample opportunities to practice manoeuvring the paddle board. Towards the end, optional challenges and team games will be introduced, operating on a “challenge by choice” basis to cater to individual preferences.
To capture the moments and make the experience more memorable, our team will take photos throughout the SUP adventure. These photos will be happily shared with you at the end of the session, providing lasting memories of the enjoyable stand up paddle boarding journey on the River Ure.

This venue has toilets, showers and changing facilities.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
• Footwear Trainers or wetsuit boots (NO wellingtons)
• Swimwear to go under your wetsuit
• Towel
• Drink. At least 1 litre (NO alcohol)
• Personal Medication. Any prescription medicines you need such as inhaler
• Sun Glasses. The reflection from the water can be very bad on the eyes
• Sun Screen. We highly recommend factor 30 minimum
We provide all the other safety equipment.
Minimum age nine years. Ideal for individuals, couples and small groups. The spaces are limited to ten people and are sold on a first come first serve basis. Once you book you will automatically receive an email which will allow you to down load all the information.
If the date we are offering on our ‘Shared Experiences’ doesn’t suit you, we offer private bookings for every activity and experience we offer! With private bookings we don’t add additional people to your booking and every activity/ experience is tailored specifically to your needs and requirements.
