If performing Stand Up Comedy is on your bucket list, learn from the best! This course won the PLATINUM AWARD for Performing Arts classes in Victoria's Community Votes Awards. In this 7 week session geared to beginners, you will learn the ropes of writing and performing original material in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.
Taught by acclaimed comedienne Kirsten Van Ritzen, she has performed on national TV, radio, theatres and comedy festivals across North America and has more than a decade of teaching experience.
Past participants are also welcome and will be given new challenges. Everyone has the option of performing in a comedy show Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Sports View Bar & Grill. Save the date for a night out with new friends!
Want to continue the journey? Stand Up Level 2 will follow Wednesdays March 12 to April 30 + Sat. May 1st with a separate registration.
Kirsten has inspired hundreds of regular folks to share their passion for comedy. Adult language/mature content. Participants must be 19+

TWO STEPS TO REGISTER:
1) Pay the fee Early Bird (by Dec. 31) $225 or after Jan. 1st $239 on Eventbrite ( + service fee) OR etransfer to broadtheatrics @yahoo.ca; cheque or cash by arrangement. Refunds are available 7 days prior to first class. No refunds after session begins.
2) Complete the Google Doc Registration form. Link is in the confirmation message from Eventbrite; or will be emailed to you.
BOTH payment and form must be complete to secure your spot.
- Classes take place in-person but may revert to ZOOM online learning if PHO protocols change; participants will be informed in advance of any Covid safety measures required by the venues.
