Stand-Up Comedy Class

LEARN STANDUP FROM A FULL TIME PROFESSIONAL COMEDIAN!

This class will include (4) three hour classroom sessions and a graduation show open to family, friends and the public. By the end of the 4 week workshop you will have developed a 5 minute standup set. The class environment is extremely supportive and positive.

Whether you are an aspiring comedian, an experienced comic looking to hone your skills, someone looking to improve your public speaking skills in corporate settings, or you just want to check standup comedy off your bucket list, this is the class for you.

The class will cover joke writing, stage presence, audience psychology, the comedy industry, and more. After 4 classroom sessions you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills at a real comedy show.

Your teacher, Brendan Eyre, is a seasoned touring comedian who has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC, Adam Devine's House Party on Comedy Central, Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV, and more. Learn from someone who knows the craft and the industry.

This session will feature an amazing assistant teacher, Ian MacDonald. Ian is a razor sharp joke writer who will also offer in depth insight into the Maine comedy scene. He has performed at a number of prestigious comedy festivals, including being named a semi-finalist at the 2023 Boston Comedy Festival.

Classes and Graduation show will take place in an intimate theater setting at Nomad in Brunswick Maine.
