Stand Up Black Dads! and be proud!
The focus of this event is to bring awareness that the 'Black Dad' is around (Present in a child's life)! This event also aims to give its attendees the right tools, resources and motivation to be a positive 'Black Dad'. These transferable resources can also be used by any parent to be a better individual.
This event is aimed but not limited to dad's so we do encourage children, women and families to attend as well.
If you thought the last one was good, we've got so much more in store! The resources provided at our event can be used by any parent or individual to improve their way of life.
Things to expect:
- Motivational speakers and education talks
- Paediatric Aid - Education around first aid for children.
- Conversation around child loss (A Dads perspective) - Often, only a mothers voice is heard. Hear Dad's speak about their experience of going through child loss.
- Counselling and mental health advise - Hear a mental health charity give advice to aid positive mental health. They will also be giving UK stats and findings regarding black males and fathers suffering from mental health difficulties.
- Legal information & Fathers rights in the UK - Listen to a qualified barrister. They will be giving updates and facts regarding family law and the rights fathers have in the UK 2023.
- Live panel - Speak to some of our guest speakers about any parent related topic or anything discussed throughout the day.
- Activities for children
- Food and drink - To purchase from the venue
- Mini market - Where local and small businesses will showcase their products and services.

Each ticket bought will be entered into a raffle which could win you a 'Dads Hamper', containing multiple prizes!
The event is aimed to change some of the stereotypes faced by black males and break barriers but this does not mean all ages, cultures and races are not welcome. Come down and support our movement.
