This one-hour taster workshop will offer you tips and skills and show you how to access free information to “help you stand out in the crowd” which will help enable you to successfully secure your next professional job.
The workshop will cover topics such as:
- Is your dream job for you?
- What skills and qualifications may be needed for a position?
- How to find companies that you might want to send a speculative CV to.
- How to Network with potential employers/interviewers.
- Help you complete a winning application form.
- Help you prepare for the interview – to be more confident and to “Stand out from the crowd”
The range of Business information databases that will be showcased during this workshop are: Cobra, Fame, Mintel, Statista & IBISworld.
This is an in-person workshop at BIPC Sussex, Jubilee library, Brighton.
Following the event, the BIPC will send you a feedback form which we would be grateful if you could complete to allow us to monitor the success of our events.

What is your cancellation policy?
The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited - especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing [email protected].
Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?
Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
