Who's ready for the Ohio Valley's newest 5k challenge?? Stairs for Strides 5k presented by WVU Medicine will be held directly before our annual Wheeling Food Truck Festival on May 10th! If you are looking for a 5k worth bragging about, then this is the race for you! Both runners and walkers will face the usual 3.1 miles of paved competition course, but with the unique challenge of climbing the 350 stairs ascending from the Wheeling Heritage Trail to the top of Grandview Hill! Are you willing to brave the stairs and show The Valley the strides we are making in mental health awareness? We will see you there! For those looking to show support, but unable to journey up the mountain with us, our traditional NAMI Walk Mental Health Mile will also step off directly after our racers take off from the starting line! Whether you want to come show your support with the full mile for awareness, or simply come and take two step to the left, we are happy to have you there with us to show your support for mental health!
