Ocula Records and The Invisible Orange present: STAINLESS with SYRINX (album release show) and LA CHINGA- STAINLESS -
Officially formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2022, rising from the heart of the Pacific Northwest underground. Past and present members have powered bands such as Black Breath, Long Knife, Lebenden Toten, Halt, Bellicose Minds, Nightfell, Malikili, and Ripper. Their first release — the “Snakebite” / “Too Hot to Steal” single — arrived as a self-released vinyl statement of intent.
Now the band returns with the mini-album Nocturnal Racer, featuring “Shot for Shot,” “Believer,” and “The Evil Lies.” Recorded at Red Lantern Studio (Portland, OR) by Evan Mersky, produced by Jamie Byrum, and mastered by Magnus Lindberg in Stockholm, the record captures STAINLESS at full throttle. The sessions featured Larissa Cavacece (vocals), Mira Sonnleitner (bass), Joe Sugar (drums), and Jamie Byrum (guitar, vocals) — with Terrica Catwood (Time Rift) now joining on drums.
“I’d describe us as hard rock or heavy rock,” says Byrum. “There are plenty of metal elements in our sound, but calling us a pure heavy metal band would be misleading. Nocturnal Racer carries a more metallic edge than our blues-based first single.”
Fueled by adrenaline and grit, STAINLESS is already working on material for their full-length debut — so keep your engine running..

From the minds behind Spell and Traveler comes SYRINX — a progressive rock and metal collective from Canada and the U.S. that transcends time, genre, and convention. Formed in 2016, SYRINX has steadily carved out a sound transcends space and time — merging the storytelling of classic prog with the visceral edge of heavy metal.
Their new album, Time Out of Place (Ocula Records), released September 9th, is a modern-day rock opera — a journey through chaos, clarity, and awakening. Across its sweeping movements, SYRINX explores the dissonance between the mortal and the divine, the machine and the spirit. Recorded entirely on analog gear, Time Out of Place was built by hand — no computers, no A.I., no shortcuts.
