The Workshop
Your tutor, Jennifer, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “Join us for a fun and creative half-day workshop, where you’ll learn how to make your very own stained glass windchime from scratch, complete with pretty bead embellishments.
You’ll cover: from cutting and smoothing the edges, to drilling holes and threading fishing wire, before finishing your design with a few sparkling beads.discover the joy of working with glass
Step by step, you’ll be guided through the process and by the end you’ll have crafted a unique windchime that tinkles gently in the breeze.
What makes it special?
Choose from a beautiful selection of coloured glass or experiment with unique offcuts.
Design a piece that reflects your own style and personality.
Enjoy the soothing, melodic sound and shimmering reflections as your windchime spins in the wind.
These windchimes are perfect as a thoughtful, handmade Christmas gift, or keep yours as a year-round treasure for your own garden or home.
Come along for a morning filled with creativity, relaxation, and inspiration and leave with a beautiful piece you’ll be proud to display.”

What to bring?
All materials are provided — just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn a new skill and create something truly special.
Specific to this workshop:
Reading glasses if you need them.

What skills are needed?
No experience is necessary. You’ll get the chance to practise and build confidence in a range of fine motor skills including:
Using a glass cutter: which is a bit like holding a pencil and using downwards pressure
Using an electric grinder: hold your glass against the grinder and let it do all the hard work for you!
Using an electric drill: this needs a steady hand
To finish off you will need a steady hand to thread the wire and beads and the dexterity to tie a knot securely

What are the timings?
This is a relaxed, morning running from 10am to 12.30pm.
Our purple front door will be open from 9.30am so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Jennifer and your fellow crafters, and grab a cuppa before you start.

How many places are available?
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size is limited to 8.

What is the cost?
£35 + 79p card fee. This includes all the materials needed to make your gorgeous windchime, drinks and home-made biscuits during the morning (excluding lunch)
