About this Event
Create a spooky Halloween themed (or not) stained glass mosaic luminary! We'll be using scrap glass to glue to altered wine bottles that have the bottoms cut off to make room for string lights (included) or a battery operated candle (not included).
All tools and materials provided. This class is at your own pace, it's possible you may finish early and you are welcome to stay longer. We will be using e6000 glue which is rather smelly. We can run fans as needed and open windows, weather permitting. Spooky face design templates and blank paper are available or you can also pre-draw your design before class to save the time for assembling your project. Use a piece of paper 9" wide by 7" tall to pre-draw any design plans you might like. We'll tape it inside the bottle to help us stick with the design. When designing your own image to fill with mosaic glass, try to keep shapes wider than a pinky finger width. Letters can be a challenge when they are small.
We will be working with sharp, cut glass. Safety glasses are provided. You may wish to bring your own gloves, such as gardening gloves. Covered beverages are allowed (BYOB is ok too!). Grey or white grout will be portioned out and sent home for you to complete on your own.
Kids age 8 and up are welcome! Must have an adult present if under 16.
