The MAAA is pleased to have Amy Machesic from “Amy's Rain Shine Studio” back with us as she instructs you in creating a set of 3 festive icicles. In this workshop in the upstairs classroom, you will get an overview of steps in creating with glass. Then you will be shown examples of different methods used, and you’ll be able to try a few of them!
In creating your icicles, you’ll be using the copper foil method using pre-cut clear textured glass that has the appearance of frost on a window, and lead-free solder. Next, you’ll add crystal beads from an old chandelier. To complete your icicles, you’ll add wire hooks!
This is a beginner level class, so no experience is necessary.
It is recommended you wear pants or long shorts that can get messy, and preferably a natural material like cotton, since you'll be soldering.
Participants ages 13 to 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
The class fee includes all materials. Amy's previous classes with us sold out, so register today. Your payment reserves your spot.
