Vinyl release show for concept album Sentiens Eklektikos on Ako-Lite Records.
“With a flair for the futuristic and a nod to the past, STAHV blends sci-fi with swagger, creating something that’s both familiar and entirely alien. A love letter to the weird and the wired, Sentiens Eklektikos is a trip worth taking.” - Post-Punk.com
"Droids on acid! It’s part Bowie and part Star Wars, and it’s wrapping me up in cosmic synths and pulsing beats and indie riffs and electronic fuzz." -CVLT Nation
Born out of love for sci-fi graphic novels and prog rock, STAHV’s latest album Sentiens Eklektikos poses the question, “What would happen if an android dropped acid?” Produced by STAHV founder Solomon Arye Rosenschein and Ako-Lite label head John Getze, the album explores themes of love, humanity, and free will set against a consciousness-expanding dystopian future.
“My father worked in AI Robotics for Stanford Research Institute in the '80s. I remember visiting him at work one day and seeing a robot named Flakey wandering around offering people bagels. It had a synthesized voice and emphasized words in a very charming way—it couldn't quite pronounce the ‘g’ in bagel.”
Previously known for spellbinding, sonic landscapes that hinted at ambient metal, Sentiens Eklektikos puts Rosenschein’s incredible gift for songwriting front and center and features guests Stuart Dace on saxophone (Jim Jones All Stars) and David Benson (Transition, Acephalix, Said Sara) on guest vocals.
