About this Event
For this Lunch & Learn talk, Stage Fright to Spotlight: Finding My Voice as a Standup Comedian, Liz shares her unexpected journey to becoming a stand-up comedian. Growing up, she was extremely shy and avoided talking to strangers. It wasn’t until her late 20s that she stepped out of her comfort zone and tried something new, leading my career to take a surprising turn. This story is about facing fears, overcoming challenges, and embracing your wonderfully unique self.

About the Speaker
Liz Savage is a multimedia producer and stand-up comedian. She has overcome many hurdles from growing up extremely shy to living nowhere near Hollywood (Thanks, Army!), and has pushed through to create a career and a home she is proud of. Being a military spouse has offered challenges every step of the way, but she works hard to make each duty station a stepping stone that feels like home. Liz is currently a professor of digital media production at Community College of Baltimore County and tours comedy clubs all over the country. She recently performed as a "Top 101 Comics" in the World Series of Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.
