This special concert event pays tribute to half a century of stagecraft with a rich, rousing soundtrack drawn from the theatreโs most iconic productions. From the timeless charm of My Fair Lady โ the very first show ever performed at Derby Theatre โ to a thrilling Bitesize Broadway rendition of Sweeney Todd, the programme promises a journey through the music that has underscored generations of storytelling. Also confirmed in the evening's running order are all new arrangements from Disney Classics Aladdin and Pinocchio, Back To The Future, Hans Zimmer charts from Interstellar and much more.
Bringing this musical history to life is Derwent Brass โ Derbyshireโs premier brass band and a powerhouse of innovation and artistry on the national stage. This multi-award-winning ensemble made history as the first brass band to receive the Royal Philharmonic Society Inspiration Award, cementing its status as one of the UKโs most exciting and dynamic brass ensembles.
