St. Paul's Open House & Yard PartyJoin us Saturday, March 28th from 12-4 PM for an afternoon of music, food, and history!
We're opening our doors to show off our stunning 19th-century Gothic sanctuary—our sixth church building in almost 400 years of ministry. St. Paul's has been part of this community longer than there's been a Petersburg, and we'd love to share our story with you.
What to Expect:
Live music on the lawn
Hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and more
Tours of our beautiful sanctuary featuring our Tiffany window and mosaic
No formal programming—just drop in, hang out, ask questions, or simply enjoy the afternoon
Curious about history? We're happy to share stories about our connections to the Civil War, the colonial period when we were founded, the Bishop Payne Divinity School (which operated down the street at St. Stephen's as the only place Black Episcopalians could receive seminary education until 1958), and how we're keeping the American Anglican identity alive in worship and music today.
Come for five minutes or stay for four hours. Grab a snack, listen to music, and discover one of the oldest and most beautiful churches for miles around.
p.s. It won't be like Trunk or Treat but we're going for that hang out and enjoy one another's company vibe. The photo is to give the vibe :)
Everyone welcome. No agenda. Just community.
