The Opelousas General Health System Foundation will host the St. Landry Parish Community Leaders’ Summit meeting with healthcare professionals and community leaders on February 6, 2025, at the Delta Grand Theatre in downtown Opelousas from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM.This summit aims to explore innovative approaches and strategies for improving the health and well-being of our community. Together with healthcare leaders, our local community leaders, and Well-Ahead, an arm of the Louisiana Department of Health & Hospitals, we will explore opportunities and strategies to enhance the health of the community we serve.
The agenda will cover several topics, including opportunities for preventative care, improving patient care, rural health disparities, increasing awareness about tobacco cessation, the prevalence of lung cancer, and legislative updates. Registration is free and includes breakfast. Community leaders, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in enhancing healthcare in our community are invited.
