Hello all! This will assuredly be our last tour of 2024. As the year draws to a close, we would like to do something different but also create a moment for networking, mingling, and sharing a few laughs.
To this effect, we’re doing the first stage of the Saint James Way! Well, perish the thought of a long, long stride, but something much more manageable for a winter day. Nevertheless, we're also doing something seeped in history, as we’re heading from the Cathedral to the Monastery, where once the Knights Hospitaller provided shelter and solace.
Likewise, we will eschew the more modern, popular routes and instead take the Old Road that overlaps the Roman road between Portus Cale (modern Porto) and Bracara Augusta (modern Braga). So, we’ll be setting off from the old cathedral hill to the lands surrounding the Leça. Can we find this once-called Via XVI within the city's urban fabric?
Having said that, we’re not for farewells, we want to make a small celebration to reminisce this year, of all the many impressions shared, the many sights and places covered but also to make new friends, and that new friends also make new ones, of course, that’s all hunky-dory, but nothing keeps a party going like food and drink - we will be provided food and drink at the end.
