So, once again we will be doing the (now famous) St Ives Ghost Walk. This year's event is much bigger to please read to the end. It's a short walk and talk, of around 40 minutes, round our historic town, telling of local ghost legends. Meet at the Quayside by the old bridge (NOT to be confused with The Waits down on The Broadway). As it will be 'Halloween Time' dressing in scary outfits is encouraged, so put on your best costume and come out and join us.The Ghost Walk starts at 7pm but it's a good idea to come a little early to meet and talk with others. Feel free to join in! This is an adult event to which children are welcome, though we do ask that parents keep their children under supervision as we will be close to the water and traffic, so safety must be born in mind.
There is no charge for the walk but we'll be passing the hat around afterwards to collect for local good causes.
And yes, this year's is MUCH BIGGER as we will be following on from the walk with an event in the Corn Exchange. It's called The Haunting of St Ives. Doors open 7.45pm. At 8.15 there will be a 40 minute audio/visual/dance presentation of the Dracula story, followed immediately by a Halloween Disco until Midnight. The walk is free of charge but the event is £5 per ticket. Drinks available at the bar of course. This is great value for money so please come along and support our wonderful community!
It's also a great excuse to dress up scary to dig out your best Halloween costumes and join the fun!
