About this Event
St Helen's Cyber Attack: the impact & lessons learned
In August 2023, St Helens Council suffered from a major cyber attack that led to the ex-filtration of local authority data.
This session is a rare opportunity to hear a firsthand account of what happened, how the organisation was impacted, what they did to contain the attack, how they responded, and how they recovered from it. You will hear different perspectives from the St Helens team, including from the Chief Executive, the Assistant Director of Finance, the Head of IT & Digital Delivery, the head of Cyber Security, and the Director of Policy and Transformation.
