Saints Cyprian and is honored as the patron saint of magicians, sorcerers, conjurors and the like. According to Roman Catholic sources, no Bishop of Antioch bore the name of Cyprian. Cyprian, known by the title of "the Magician", to distinguish him from Cyprian of Carthage, received a liberal education in his youth, and particularly applied himself to astrology; after which he traveled for improvement through Greece, Egypt, and India. Cyprian was a magician in Antioch and dealt in sorcery. As a sorcerer for hire he was once employed to use his magick to get a Christian woman Justina to fall for a pagan Lawyer who lusted after her. Justina is known for converting Cyprian, because according to legend she thwarted all of Cyprians attempts to ensnare her. After having been thwarted he immediately sought Justinas council as he wished to know more about the power that defeated him. Following this he supposedly converted to the christian faith and became a bishop of Antioch while practicing his sorcery in secret, (although as stated…). Both Cyprian and Justina suffered martyrdom at Nicomedia (modern-day İzmit, Turkey) on September 26. Petitioned to aid sorcerers and hoodoos, to cast off evil, change luck, he teaches divination and increases our ability to control the spirits.
