Pride St. Charles is excited to announce a special free presentation on St. Charles LGBTQIA+ history, featuring acclaimed public historian Steven Louis Brawley. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Youth In Need, located at 1815 Boone's Lick Rd, St. Charles, MO 63301.Steven Louis Brawley, a leading expert in LGBTQIA+ history and pop culture, will offer insights into the rich history of the LGBTQIA+ community. Brawley, the founder of the St. Louis LGBT History Project and executive vice president of Area Resources for Community and Human Services (ARCHS), has dedicated over 30 years to strategic not-for-profit management, with a strong focus on fundraising and marketing.
This event is organized by Pride St. Charles, a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to benefiting the LGBT+ and allied community of St. Charles. Pride St. Charles operates with the mission to promote equality within St. Charles County and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community through positive events, support, education, and resources. All proceeds from Pride St. Charles events are reinvested into programs and initiatives that support the community.
