Join other Seaquesters at different cliff-top locations around the Cornish coast to look for some amazing marine wildlife, learn about the animals we share our coast with and about Seaquest and meet other like-minded people while enjoying a cliff-top tea and cake.
Please note – some sea watches are located close to an NCI station, and all will be clearly marked with a flag or logoed volunteers.
Please bring appropriate clothing, drinks, and some snacks, and be prepared to potentially be socially distant from others there. Please bring your own binoculars if you have them.

Seaquest Southwest is a citizen science marine recording project by Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Living Seas Team. It uses public events, surveys, and activities to engage with volunteers and members of the public to achieve its three main aims: engage people with the marine environment, collect data on marine wildlife, and better understand and conserve marine wildlife.
On the third Sunday of each month, we run a public-friendly sea watch at different key headlands around the county.
For more information contact [email protected], follow us on social media, and follow @yourshorenetwork for other volunteering opportunities.
On the first Sunday of each month, @yourshorenetwork marine conservation groups around the county host Seaquest surveys on their local patch of coast.
• Mounts Bay Marine Group
• St Ives Bay Marine Group
• St Agnes Marine Conservation Group @ St Agnes Head NCI
• Newquay Marine Group @ Towan Headland
• Three Bays Wildlife Group @ Dodman Point
• Falmouth Marine Conservation @ Pendennis Point
• Perranporth Marine Conservation Group @ Cligga Head
• Bude Marine Group @ North Widemouth View Point
*Please note these groups are run by volunteers who may not be available during the Seaquest Sunday dates or might run additional events, please contact them through social media or their website to stay up to date.
** These local surveys may be cancelled in rain, fog, mist, or wind above a force 4. Check before you go out!
