Community Safe Zone and Accessibility
The Community Safe Zone by the Civic Centre is a great place to go if the event gets a bit overwhelming! There’s somewhere to sit and a place to breastfeed, and you can take the opportunity to learn about services available to support residents from our partner organisation, Communities 1st.
We’ve also put a few things in place to try and help everyone to be able to access the event including:
British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters across the event (schedule to be confirmed shortly)
Sighted Guides for the visually impaired.
Accessible viewing zones in front of the stages
Priority reserved seating across the site for those less able to stand
Ramps on the kerbs to enable greater wheelchair access,
Accessible toilets, baby change, baby feeding and changing places toilet are available – ask at the safe zone for details.
Is there something else we could be doing to make the event more accessible for you? Let us know as we are always trying to improve the accessibility of our events.
