Welcome to Round 4 of the Southland Sports Car Club Clubsport season for 2024/25Come on out and have a go at some very inexpensive grass roots motorsport.
Our ClubSport series consists
two championship events over 6 rounds.
Each round is made up of
three Motokhana tests in the morning
and a Sealed Autocross in the afternoon
$35 Motorkana
$50 Autocross
All welcome to have a go, we also have a hire car available for $20per driver
12 years of age and up can compete(with parents consent no license required) in both Motokhana and Autocross events.
New Competitors welcome, you may enter two events as a non club member this enables you to try before committing and joining our club.
Club membership card and drivers/race license must be presented on sign in.
A compulsory drivers brief will be held prior to the event commencing.
Spectators are welcome with free entry.
MOTOKHANA: Tight course around cones against the clock. Three challenges consisting of 2 sealed and 1 grass course.
Each competitor has three attempts at each challenge with their best times being added to a total.
Passengers are not permitted unless authorised on the day
NO MUD, SNOW, RALLY OR SLICKS TYRES PERMITTED.
No changing of tyres between courses
No speeding between courses
Motokhana Sign-in: 8:30-9:30am
driving commences: 10am
Cost: $35 per driver.
SEALED AUTOCROSS: Speed event, typically 1-2 minutes in length racing against the clock. Drivers get an 'Indian file "familiarization" run followed by 3-4 timed runs. Fastest time counts.
A compulsory drivers brief will be held prior to the event commencing.
Due to the higher speeds reached in this event vehicles should be fitted with a fire extinguisher and drivers are required to wear fireproof (100% cotton is fine) overalls and a helmet. Helmets and overalls may be hired from the club on the day.
Vehicles will be checked over for safety by our scrutineers in accordance with Schedule A of the Motorsport Manual.
Passengers are permitted BUT the driver must hold a minimum of a "M" Class race license, have a roll cage, passenger seat fitted with approved safety harness fitted and have signed the Indemnity form prior to race(forms available from the pit office).

Sealed Autocross Sign-in & Scrutineering: 12:00-12:45pm
Racing Commences: 1pm
